Hey Everybody...checked out the "Hill Happenings" block party last Thursday night. It is put together by a bunch of great Merchants on Capital Hill. Within a few blocks of Pine and 14th, businesses stay open later until 9 pm. They all have some sort of a special offer - food, beverage, and cool discounts. It is fun because you can grab a few friends, walk around from place to place and learn more about the great new and existing businesses on the Hill!
We started at POCO, a sweet new wine bar and had a couple glasses of wine - at a Hill Happenings price! We then went next door to SWOON - a hip boutique spa - where you and your friends can enjoy spa treatments and sip on your own bottle of wine! Next, we enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at City Catering. They have a great space and delicious food. We rounded out the night at Whimsey Home Decor (amazing jewelry spread) and then stopped in the best little clock & watch shop - Tiempo.
There were other great stores/restaurants that we simply ran out of time to catch. So next time around, we'll start at the other end! Do check it out- it is a fun "artwalk" concept that showcases the best of what the Merchants of Upper Pine and 14th has to offer!
