Apothecaries were to the ancient world what pharmacies are to us today, a dispensary for products mixed by herbalists that were aimed at treating medical conditions and for soothing the mind, body and soul. SugarPill, a modern day apothecary, opened in February of 2011, has been serving up innovative and exotic products in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle.

Located across the street from Molly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream at 900 E. Pine Street, SugarPill offers a dazzling array of natural soaps, sugars, cooking salts, spices and other goodies just begging to be discovered. Karyn Schwartz, owner, has provided a beautiful store front with an antique wooden display case with some of the most unique items found in the city. SugarPill was recognized by Seattle Magazine as one of the best places to shop in 2011.

Make sure to stop by and congratulate Karyn Schwartz on her award and make sure to give her a warm welcome to the GSBA family!
