Signature counting is in full swing. We don't know yet, and probably won't know for weeks if Referendum 71 will be placed on the November ballot. Signature verification totals are being posted daily to the Secretary of State's blog and so far, it's very close.
If Referendum 71 makes the November ballot, we must be prepared to APPROVE. That's right. Vote to approve the referendum to keep our expanded domestic partnership benefits.
"It is important to educate folks on voting to approve, to continue to bring in organizational endorsements and to raise money. Field work is expensive and Washington Families Standing Together (WAFT) needs our support.," says Louise Chernin. "Please go online to endorse WAFT and donate at the same time."
