Develop and Engage your Workforce with Washington Employers

Have you ever wished for a dedicated Human Resources Professional for your small business? Are you wearing many hats at work including the IT Manager, HR Director, Trainer and Operations? This is often the case in small businesses, sole proprietorships, non-profits and even medium-sized businesses. GSBA is proud to welcome a new member that offers support and education in all areas of HR, management and supervision skills, professional development, safety, productivity, employment law, computer skills, compliance and more. Washington Employers is a member-based organization providing real-time business results through strategic workforce performance solutions. They are passionate about helping their members attract and retain talent, develop and engage employees, comply with the law, and plan for success. With 76 years of experience, Washington Employers has earned the reputation as the trusted partner, industry expert, and thought leader in workforce performance solutions.

One of the integral services offered by Washington Employers is their Learning and Development classes.
Course offerings include: Coaching Skills for Managers, Employer and Social Media: To Friend or Foe?, Compensation Planning: Where to Start, Planning and Conducting Safety Meetings, Healing Customer Relationships, Medical Marijuana: Exploring Current Employment Issues and Implementing Workplace Wellness: Programs that Get Results. This is just a sampling of their more than 150 options.

As a GSBA member, you can take any of these classes at the Washington Employers member rates. Browse their courses by topic or by calendar.

There are three different types of training to best fit your needs. Open enrollment training is instructor led and held at Washington Employers training centers in Seattle and Kent.  Meet and interact with people from other companies, and learn in an environment away from the workplace. Onsite training are courses customized for your needs and held at your business to best maximize time and convenience.  And for maximum flexibility, web-based training is also available for some courses.  The course catalog can help you identify key topics that will be covered in each course and who from your staff should attend.

To get a taste of the robust resources offered by Washington Employers, attend their Training Test Drive on November 7th.  At this complimentary event you will see trainers in action as they present highlights from some of the most popular classes and get a chance to meet with their staff and learn how to best achieve your business vision. Plus a light breakfast will be served. Register for this event. Washington Employers is a valuable resource that can increase effectiveness and expertise at every level within your personnel.
