Announcing GSBA Member Health Benefits!

GSBA is excited to announce a new member benefit this year: we have joined in a network for health insurance and benefit programs for small businesses called the Business Health Trust (BHT).  This plan will give our small and medium sized business members (2 to 149 employees) more large-group buying power. Since these plans are generally accessible only to larger companies, the BHT could provide substantial savings to GSBA members.

“Approximately 85% of our membership consists of small to medium sized businesses. Accessible and affordable healthcare is a major challenge for small businesses. We are extremely excited to be able to offer GSBA members this new and enhanced benefit of access to a health plan with more competitive prices.” said Louise Chernin, GSBA President & CEO.

Business Health Trust products include the full range of health insurance and employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, personal accident, and employee assistance plans.  The highly competitive group rates are provided through contracts with some of the largest insurance carriers in the state of Washington.  The organization also partners with Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA for program management and Benefit Administration Company for billing administration and compliance support.

In order to take advantage of this new member benefit, you must be a current GSBA member, and you are required to work with GSBA-certified member insurance agents.  If you would like to know more about the GSBA health insurance benefit program, please contact one of our GSBA-certified agents:

What about sole proprietor businesses with one person?

Sole proprietor businesses still can access group of one coverage directly from Regence and Group Health. However, association benefits are often only available when you have at least two employees.
