As an “out & proud” radio host, I have the opportunity to publicly engage in conversation about one of my most passionate topics – DOGS – and share other aspects of myself with a larger audience – like when my wife and I got married in Washington state last year, on the first day it was legal. The Dog Show With Julie Forbes allows me to be known more intimately as an expert, and as a human being.

GSBA Member Spotlight - The Woodland Park Zoo
Escape the urban Seattle jungle and explore your animal instincts at the Woodland Park Zoo! Come face to face with some of Mother Nature's wildest animals; penguins, gorillas, lions, leopards and bears, and I'm not talking about the burly "bears" running around Capitol Hill. The Greater Seattle Business Association is delighted to welcome The Woodland Park Zoo to the GSBA family!
The zoo boasts an impressive assortment of animals, over 300 different animal species can be viewed at the zoo. The Woodland Park Zoo even offers an online database of the current animals showcased at the zoo, giving guests ample time to plan which animals to see first before their visit. The database is a fun and educational way to get detailed information about the animals at the zoo including d
etails about their classification, range in the natural world, lifespan, diet, maps and a bunch of fun photos.
"We will be completely renovating our current Tigers and Asian Bears exhibit and linking it to our Asian Tropical Forest areas. There will be multiple viewing areas for guests, and opportunities to get 'Real Close' to the animals on display, as well as learn about the conservation programs that Woodland Park Zoo participates in that directly affect these animals in the wild," said Jennifer Larsen, Woodland Park Zoo Tourism Coordinator.
The Woodland Park Zoo offers an amazing deal for guests who wish to become zoo members. Becoming a zoo member not only supports the zoo in their expansion of current exhibits and programs but it also provides resources for the beloved animals of the zoo. When someone becomes a zoo member they receive year-round free admission, inside information about the zoo animals, discounts on classes and zoo programs and news about wild animals and places in our own backyard.
More information about the Woodland Park Zoo, their animals and ways to donate to animal and habitat conservation can be found at www.Zoo.org.

GSBA Member Spotlight - Morgan Henry LMP, Anchor Body Works

The daily grind of life has a way of wearing down our delicate bodies. Instead of reaching for another dab of Icy Hot and smelling like your great aunt why not indulge in a full body massage? The Greater Seattle Business Association would like to welcome Morgan Henry LMP, the founder of Anchor Body Works, to the GSBA family.
Anchor Bodyworks is conveniently located on the corner of 12th Avenue and Pike Street on Capitol Hill, a short walk or bus ride from downtown Seattle. Henry specializes in a wide variety of different massage techniques including deep tissue, scar tissue release, relaxation, injury, prenatal & postpartum and myofascial release.
Recently I took advantage of the GSBA ShopOUT.org special for Anchor Bodyworks; a 60 minute full body massage and a 30 minute scalp massage for only $55! It was a great deal and the most relaxing 90 minutes I've experienced in recent memory. I can still smell the inviting aroma of eucalyptus and lavender; my massage oils of choice.
Henry has a popular massage chair service that she takes to local offices, events and businesses. Henry and her massage chair were recently seen at the July GSBA Women on Top mixer at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront providing massages to event attendees.
Anchor Bodyworks currently offers massages at $60.00 for a 60 minutes & $90.00 for 90 minutes. Anchor Bodyworks is home to the "What Can You Pay or Trade Day" which is the last Friday every month.
For more information about Anchor Bodyworks services and rates please contact Morgan Henry at morgan.henry305@gmail.com.
